Louise Kent

Title: Leadership Facilitator
Interesting Fact: She can’t complain of a crooked back. While in Guyana Louise slept in a hammock for six whole months!

Since December of 2004 Louise has been motivating thousands of young people as lead speaker and facilitator for Leaders Today’s innovative speaking tours. Both a passion for mentorship and a degree in international development have helped her to delve into the task of inspiring the world-changing efforts of young people across continents and cultures.

A gifted facilitator and passionate speaker, she has led workshops throughout North America, facilitated intensive advanced skills and social advocacy seminars at the LEV3L Take Action! Academy in Toronto, and spoken to countless school groups. Before she joined our team, Louise lived an adventurous and nomadic lifestyle, traveling the world learning life lessons and intrinsic truths. In South Africa and Kenya, she fell in love with the magic of that far off continent and glimpsed the potential for equality among people who value community. After finishing her degree, she lived in Guyana where she helped mobilize and empower rural youth to believe in themselves and their power to achieve a brighter future. Before settling in Toronto, she went on an extensive journey across Southeast Asia where she hiked through protected mountain reserves, volunteered at Cambodian orphanages, and learned the history of East Asian temples and heritage sites. Louise ended her Asian trip working and volunteering her way through China’s massive cities, backcountry wilderness, and rural villages; all the while trying to master the official Chinese language.

Every day, Louise lives the Me to We message of helping others through small acts of kindness, and feels blessed to share her dreams of justice, equality, community, and cooperation with the today’s creative youth. As a talented songwriter and artist, with the help of her strong voice and deep passion, she has recorded and performed her music across North America.
