Jon MacIndoe

Title: International Travel Consultant
Interesting Fact: While in high school, Jon hosted his own radio show called the Big Mac Hour at a local radio station.

Jon MacIndoe joined the Leaders Today team in July of 2007 as an international travel consultant. A graduate of the University of Guelph-Humber’s media studies program specializing in public relations, Jon is thrilled to join Leaders Today’s dynamic staff and looks forward to helping you plan your next family or adult trip.

Jon’s entrance into youth empowerment and volunteer work came at the age of 15, when he attended a leadership training camp that jump started his involvement in his community. From there, Jon went on to work as a counsellor and programmer at the aforesaid camp, joined his high school’s student council and began to take an active role in improving his community through fundraisers and awareness campaigns. Later, while in university, Jon was elected to his school’s student council as vice president of academics and became a member of the University of Guelph’s Senate. During this time, he also worked as a tour manager with an educational travel company for student travellers to explore North America. In his final year of university, Jon worked closely with a team of other students and community members to help one of his fellow classmates run in the Toronto mayoral election. Although their candidate did not win the election, the team was extremely pleased with the number of votes their candidate received and the actions they were able to inspire in Torontonians.

Originally from London, Ontario, Jon is now a Toronto resident, enjoying the energy and diversity of big city life. When not at the office, he spends his free time mountain biking, hiking, dabbling in photography, playing guitar, listening to music, travelling, and spending time with friends and family. His favourite quote is, “Never underestimate the power of the eyebrow.” – Jack Black.
