Erin Blanding

Title: Director of Leadership Programs, Arizona-Mexico Program Director
Interesting Fact: Erin has a freakish love of manual labour and has spent countless hours stacking firewood, bailing hay, building schools and tool sheds, and pick-axing water holes in African soil.

Originally from the Colorado Rockies, Erin Blanding now calls beautiful Prince Edward Island home. Although she’s been involved with our organizations since 2001, Erin officially joined the Leaders Today team in 2006 as a leadership coordinator and motivational speaker on the We Generation speaking tour.

Erin is a graduate of New Brunswick’s Mount Allison University, where she graduated as class valedictorian with an honours degree in international relations and anthropology. Though her travels have taken her to many exotic places around the world, her heart lies on the border of the United States and Mexico, where she has been directing programming and development for Leaders Today at the Arizona-Mexico Wind Song Peace and Leadership Center for the past two years. She is passionate about immigration issues facing Latin American people and supports a sustainable solution to this humanitarian crisis. In her role directing leadership programming for Leaders Today, Erin supports the Leaders Today facilitation team through programs like Volunteer Now!, Life in Action and a number of North American speaking tours.

Erin finds peace and balance in her life through the universal languages of laughter, music, nature and sport. She loves learning and growing from her global community, and continues to be inspired by youth the world over.
