There are two things Louise Kent can’t live without: travel and her guitar. It’s a recipe that shines through on the emerging singer-songwriter’s newest album, due for release in September, 2008. Each track is a meandering mosaic of cultural infuences leading us through an exploration of the human soul. She seamlessly foats between nuanced intimacies and campfre simplicities all the while engaging us in what turns out to be the story of our collective, global experience. It’s undeniable that Louise is storyteller, through and through. It comes out in her music, her speeches, the way she ?lls a room. Since 2004, Louise has told these stories to more than 100,000 youth as a motivational speaker and performer through Me to We’s international speaking tour. These performances are an experience of the senses; her lyrics light up your ears while her spoken tales of living with communities in need around the world inspire your mind and heart to action.

She has the worldly experience to back it all up: with a degree in International Development and on-the-ground experience in China, Kenya, India and beyond, Louise is poised to put her mix of courage, wisdom and charisma out into the world. As she keeps on refning her craft, Louise’s humble approach to writing and performing makes her music accessible to anyone and everyone. Recent performances range from a stadium audience of 8,000 youth at National Me to We Day, to intimate appearances at Toronto’s club venues. This grassroots approach is the driving force behind her recent success as the number one YouTube music video in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, France, Poland, Ireland, Japan, The Netherlands and Brazil.

Louise is building a fan-base from the ground up, starting with an international tour in summer, 2008. Each stop combines a powerful speech about global issues with a raw musical performance that brings the truth she tells to life. On the horizon for Louise is the launch of Me to We Music, a socially-conscious enterprise in sound she’s building from scratch. The goal: spread the Me to We message of kindness, compassion and service to others through music. It’s been Louise’s philosophy her whole life, and it’s an idea she can’t wait to spread to the crowd every time she picks up her guitar.
